Fall means camping in our neck of the woods. Rainy season is over so there is no threat of being washed down the mountain. The hottest of the weather has passed so there aren't many mosquitos and flies. And oh boy, this year it was down right cold on the mountain at night (actually a good thing - we don't get that much cold weather even in the winter). Usually I don't sleep well because the ground is too hard and I'm too old, but this trip I just couldn't keep warm. We had a great time though. Altogether we had 7 adults and 12 boys. We packed into 3 jeeps and went about 2 hours from our city to our favorite camping spot. Hiking, fishing, cooking, building tree stands, swinging from vines, cooking over the fire, and eating lots of snacks.
