We have had a great Christmas season. We've worked on our advent calendar throughout the month and studied names of JC for 12 days. We made Christmas goodies like chocolate pretzels and cookies. Mark gave Kim her 12 Days of Christmas candy tradition. Sunday before Christmas we gathered with our Sunday group to eat a meal and exchange gifts. We visited the local fellowship here in our city to see their Christmas program. All 5 of us went out to our favorite cafe for lunch on Christmas Eve and then went for a massage. On Christmas Eve night we had friends over to see a movie and had local children come by as well. Christmas morning began with the conclusion of our advent calendar, reviewing our Christmas adornments and the meaning behind 12 names of Jesus, some singing and praying together. At the conclusion of our family time, we proceeded to open presents. Plenty of toys and candy for the boys. A late breakfast of pancakes, bacon, OJ, and coffee were tasting pretty good. After cleaning up our breakfast dishes we began to make preparations for a late lunch/early dinner with a couple of our local friends. Our Christmas dinner consisted of pork tenderloin, duck, green beans, potatoes, a special Chinese salad, and pumpkin pie. Our friends enjoyed some of the dishes but others just weren't spicy enough for them. No one left the table hungry though! We had a good time exchanging gifts with our local friends and telling them more about our Christmas celebration.
