Homeschool trip to Reed's Gold Mine. Kim was sure she was going to strike gold, but her pan ended up producing no gold. Remember the scene in Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer when Yukon Cornelius would throw his pick in the air, let it hit the snow, pick it up and lick it, then say "Nothing". Well, that's about how it was at Reed's, but we had a good 'educational' time.
Roller skating party was a hit as well. I watch the boys go round and round that roller rink and I just wish I could be out there skating. The problem is I was never a good skater. Actually I was a bad skater -- fell down and got my ear run over one time (don't laugh). And I'm old now too. No skating for me.
